About Pink Granite

Founded in 2017, Pink Granite is a non-partisan community of women supporting women. Consultants, activists, elected officials, staff, students, and yes – even supportive men, all have a place at Pink Granite regardless of experience level or political affiliation.

Pink Granite works to bring original educational content and bi-partisan networking opportunities to the women it serves. To fill the void of our cancelled in-person events, Pink Granite expanded our reach in 2020 by launching the Pink Granite Podcast and are now laying the groundwork for the soon-to-launch Pink Granite Foundation.

What’s with the name?

Pink Granite started in Austin, Texas, where the Capitol building is constructed of pink Texas granite. Our name is a play on words and nod to all the strong women that work underneath that “Pink Granite” dome.

Hi I’m Amy,

FOUNDER + Head Storyteller

I’ve been involved in politics for over 15 years as a campaigner, a staffer and now as a lobbyist. I’ve also worked as a creative director, freelance writer and web-designer. These worlds all collide here at Pink Granite. Over the years I’ve managed to transition from state to state, build relationships and advance a career in politics despite the hurdles a cross-country move (or 4!) can bring to this business.

Pink Granite is my small way of helping others build their own career, regardless of party affiliation, by sharing interviews with like-minded women, my personal go-to resources, and by hosting fun events (I’m looking at you 2021!).

Meet Ayushi

Social Media Manager

Like most organizations launched in the 21st century, Pink Granite’s success is widely contributed to our social media presence and Ayushi is an experienced leader in this space.

Ayushi is a graduate of Texas A&M University in College Station with a major in political science and obtained a certificate in nonprofit management from The University of Texas. She is also currently pursuing a Master’s of Business Administration Degree from Texas A&M University International with a focus in management. In her spare time, she loves to practice her photography skills and spend time and with her fiancée Marissa and her Aussie-Doodle Lily.
