Every November Pink Granite launches its annual mentorship program, focused on pairing women working or aspiring to work in Texas politics in a guided mentorship program.
A one time fee of $20 for the application is required.
One meeting a month for twelve months (November 2021-November 2022) minimum time with your mentor is required, but participants can spend more time where appropriate.
The first class of PGFMP will consist of 15 Texas women that will be paired up with current or former members of the Texas Legislature or high-ranking women working in Texas politics.
Once a month meetings, virtually or in-person if possible, with your mentor. There will be training for mentees before the program begins to learn how to get the most out of this experience, as well as a kickoff party. You will also be invited to an end of the year wrap-up party with all mentor and mentee pairings, where there will also be an award for PGFMP Mentor of the Year.
Yes! Should you be paired with a current member, discussion of current legislation or anything that would interfere with either of your jobs is not allowed.
