August 30, 2024

What I'm thinking about lately:
I'm Amy!

Involved in politics for 20 years as a campaigner, a staffer, and now as a lobbyist - I've also worked as a creative director, freelance writer, and web-designer. These worlds all collide here at Pink Granite where we work to connect women to the resources they need to grow a career in Texas politics.

On this blog you'll find the latest news from Pink Granite Foundation as well as updates straight  from me as Executive Director.

Feel free to connect with me on social media as well, I'd love to get to know one another.

Back to School: The Importance of Education and Mentorship

As the school year kicks off, it is a time of new beginnings, fresh starts and a renewed focus on the importance of education. Education is not about the lessons learned in the classroom, it comes in many forms, including the invaluable guidance and support that mentorship provides.

At Pink Granite, we take joy in connecting members in a way that fosters professional development and builds confidence. Through our Mentorship Program we offer one-on-one guidance that helps mentees navigate their careers and the skills they need to succeed.

Our goal is to connect seasoned professionals with those looking to grow their careers, creating a space for knowledge-sharing, skills development and mutual inspiration. We are proud to support the next generation of leaders through mentorship and help them reach their full potential.

As we all embrace the back-to-school spirit, let us remember the many ways education can shape our lives and the lives of those around us. Whether through formal education or individual guidance with your peers or people in your professional network, we all can contribute to each other’s learning journeys.
