Each year, the Pink Granite Foundation highlights three remarkable women who are shaping the future of Texas politics and policy. Through our annual awards, we honor leaders at every stage of their journey – from established changemakers to emerging voices – who not only excel in their roles professionally but also uplift and empower the women around them.
We’re excited to announce that nominations for the 2025 Pink Granite Awards are officially open through August 30!
These awards recognize the mentors, trailblazers and rising stars who are making a lasting impact in and around the Pink Dome. If you know a woman who leads with passion and inspires others along the way, now is the perfect time to celebrate her dedication and achievements.

In Their Words: Why These Awards Matter
The Pink Granite Awards don’t just celebrate a few standout women — they shine a light for all women working in Texas politics and policy. Seeing these honorees recognized reminds us what’s possible. It shows the impact women can have, and inspires others to keep pushing, even when the work is hard and the wins feel far away.
Here’s what some of last year’s honorees had to say about what the award meant to them — and why it’s so much more than a medal.
“Receiving the Legacy Award from the Pink Granite Foundation is an honor that reflects the enduring bonds of camaraderie, mentorship and the ability to bridge partisan divides at the Texas Capitol,” said Ellen Arnold, 2024 Legacy Awardee.
“This recognition inspires me to keep pushing forward, not just for myself, but for the many voices that deserve to be heard in the legislative process,” said Caitlin Flanders, 2024 Rising Star Awardee.
“I am truly honored to be recognized in this capacity. My career has been shaped by the incredible mentors and experiences I’ve had, from working on groundbreaking legislation to serving diverse industries and communities across Texas. Being a mentor for the Pink Granite Foundation allows me to give back and help shape the future of women in our field,” said Amber Hausenfluck, 2024 Mentor of the Year Awardee.
