November 6, 2024

What I'm thinking about lately:
I'm Amy!

Involved in politics for 20 years as a campaigner, a staffer, and now as a lobbyist - I've also worked as a creative director, freelance writer, and web-designer. These worlds all collide here at Pink Granite where we work to connect women to the resources they need to grow a career in Texas politics.

On this blog you'll find the latest news from Pink Granite Foundation as well as updates straight  from me as Executive Director.

Feel free to connect with me on social media as well, I'd love to get to know one another.

Texas voter registration

At Pink Granite, we want to remind you that your vote is your power, and we want all of our members to remember every ballot counts – and will help shape the future of Texas. Although Election Day has passed, remember that our work doesn’t stop once the polls close.

Now, it’s time to focus on the next steps: getting to know your new lawmakers! It’s important to get to know the people who represent us – both new and returning. These individuals will be involved in making key decisions on behalf of you, your community and your field of work. Building relationships with our elected officials is essential for our influence and professional growth under the pink dome.

Why You Should Get to Know Your Legislators

Legislators represent you at every level of government, making decisions that will directly impact you and your future. Whether their policies focus on education, healthcare or economic issues, knowing who they are and what they stand for is crucial to staying informed and engaged.

As a woman involved in politics, policy or public affairs in Texas, creating connections with those who represent you is more than just staying informed – it’s about establishing your voice in conversations where you want to be heard.

Tips for Getting to Know Your Legislators
